How Saleium fees work (platform fee, deploy fee, network gas, airdrops)
Updated Jun 21, 2026, 09:47 AM
Saleium charges a platform fee that varies by product: a Sale takes 15% of a successful raise from the project, Staking takes 5% of rewards, Vesting takes 1% of tokens at funding plus a small per-claim gas fee, and Airdrops have no platform fee at all. Your plan can lower these fees, paid plans waive the deploy fee, and you always pay network gas.
Who this is for: Both project operators who deploy products on Saleium and participants who want to understand what they are paying.
What fees does Saleium charge?
There are three things to understand:
-
Platform fee. This is the fee Saleium takes on a deployed product. The rate depends on the product:
- Sale: 15% of a successful raise, paid by the project from the raised funds when it withdraws them.
- Staking: 5% of rewards, taken from reward payouts.
- Vesting: 1% of the tokens, charged to the project each time it funds the vesting pool, plus a small per-claim fee paid by the beneficiary.
- Airdrop: no platform fee.
Your plan can lower these rates, and the rate is stamped into your contract at the moment you deploy so it never goes up afterward. The exact rates for your plan are listed on the Plans & Billing page in your dashboard.
-
Deploy fee. A one-time fee to launch a product. It is waived on paid plans (Growth, Pro, Business, and Enterprise).
-
Network gas. The blockchain transaction cost paid to the network itself when you deploy or interact on-chain. This is never a Saleium fee, and it applies on every chain regardless of your plan.
Every fee is stamped immutably at deploy: Saleium can never raise it later, and your plan can only lower it. Check Plans & Billing for the exact rate that applies to your plan.
How do I see the exact fee before I deploy?
- Open the product wizard for what you are launching (Sale, Staking, or Vesting).
- Step through to the deploy/confirm screen.
- The platform fee that will apply is shown there: 15% of the raise for a Sale, 5% of rewards for Staking, or 1% of tokens at funding for Vesting (lowered by your plan). This is the rate that gets stamped into your contract at deploy.
- To compare what each plan charges, open Plans & Billing in your dashboard and review the published plan rates.
Because the fee is stamped at deploy, upgrading your plan later does not retroactively change the fee on a product you already deployed. Choose your plan before you deploy if you want a lower rate locked in.
For project operators
Here is what each product costs you and how your plan affects it:
- Sale: Saleium takes 15% of a successful raise from the raised funds when you withdraw them. You may add your own markup on top, up to 10%, which you keep (also taken from the raise), so a contributor could see up to about 25% taken from the raise at the maximum markup. A higher plan lowers the 15% platform fee. If a sale fails or times out, the 5% refund fee is paid by your contributors out of their refunds, not by you.
- Staking: Saleium takes 5% of rewards from the reward payouts. Your plan lowers this: Growth 4.75%, Pro 4.5%, Business 3.75%.
- Vesting: Saleium takes 1% of the tokens each time you fund the vesting pool. Beneficiaries pay a small per-claim fee in the network's gas token (about $1 worth, or the claim's gas cost, whichever is higher) when they claim.
- Airdrop: no platform fee. You pay only network gas (per-recipient gas for an instant send).
Your plan affects your fees in two ways:
- Platform-fee discount. Higher plans cut your platform fees: Growth 5% off, Pro 10% off, Business 25% off (Free 0%). Enterprise can go as low as 0% fees for your users under bespoke terms (book a call at https://saleium.io/enterprise).
- Deploy fee waived. On Growth ($99/mo), Pro ($499/mo), Business ($999/mo), and Enterprise, the deploy fee is waived. On the Free plan it is not.
To change your plan, open Plans & Billing and upgrade in-app via checkout (Growth, Pro, Business). Annual billing saves 33% on the subscription. If online checkout is not available, you will be told to contact [email protected]. For Enterprise or custom fee terms, book a call at https://saleium.io/enterprise.
Plan limits (number of instances, raise cap, recipient counts) are plan terms, not on-chain guarantees. They govern what you can deploy through Saleium, not a fixed cap enforced by the contract.
For participants
If you are buying into a sale, staking, or claiming a vesting allocation:
- Buying into a sale. You do not pay the 15% platform fee. The project pays it out of the raise, so it does not reduce your token allocation. The only platform fee you might pay is the 5% refund fee, deducted from your refund if the sale fails or times out. If a project added its own markup (up to 10%), that comes out of the raise too, so up to about 25% of the raise can be taken before you receive tokens, but none of that is charged to you directly.
- Claiming a vesting allocation. You pay a small per-claim fee in the network's gas token (about $1 worth, or the claim's gas cost, whichever is higher) each time you claim.
- You pay network gas on any on-chain action you take (for example, contributing to a sale or claiming tokens). Gas goes to the blockchain, not to Saleium.
- If you are claiming an airdrop, there is no platform fee. You pay only network gas to claim.
What about airdrops?
Airdrops have no platform fee. The only cost is network gas to send or claim the tokens: the sender pays per-recipient gas for an instant send, and recipients pay their own gas to claim a Merkle airdrop. This is true on every plan, including Free.
Common issues
- "The fee I saw is different from another article or page." The platform fee that applies to you is the one stamped into your contract at deploy: 15% of a Sale raise, 5% of Staking rewards, or 1% of tokens at Vesting funding, lowered by your plan. Trust that figure and the Plans & Billing page for your exact plan rate, rather than any number quoted elsewhere.
- "I was charged a deploy fee on Free." The deploy fee is only waived on paid plans. Upgrade to Growth or higher to have it waived. Open Plans & Billing to upgrade.
- "Online checkout did not work." Contact [email protected] and the team will help you complete the upgrade. For custom or Enterprise terms, book a call at https://saleium.io/enterprise.
- "My fee did not drop after I upgraded." Fees are stamped at deploy. An upgrade lowers the fee on products you deploy after upgrading, not on ones already live.
