Overview

The Staking Points Marketplace is a new market for CGPTsp, the staking points you earn by staking $CGPT on ChainGPT Pad.

It connects two groups of users:

  • Stakers can rent out points they are not using, at a price they set, and earn a share of each rental payment.
  • Renters can add points to their usable balance for a fixed period, without opening a $CGPT stake of their own.

Rented points count toward supported point-based benefits across ChainGPT Pad, including:

  • Tier placement
  • Standard IDO (Tiered) allocations
  • Public Sale (Subscription) allocation boosts
  • Launchdrops & Giveaways eligibility
  • Buzz campaigns that use staking points

The lender's underlying $CGPT never leaves its staking pool. What changes hands, temporarily and on agreed terms, is the use of the points.

What is the Staking Points Marketplace (in simple terms)?

Think of it as renting access instead of buying it.

A staker who holds more points than they need lists some of them for rent. Another user pays to use those points for a set number of days. During the rental, the points count for the renter instead of the lender. When the rental ends, they count for the lender again.

Nobody's stake moves, and no tokens are lent. Only the points' utility is rented.

How a rental works

Every rental follows the same lifecycle:

Create or choose a deal

A staker lists points, or a renter posts a request.

Review the terms

Points, rental duration, total USD price, payment token amount, and fees.

Approve and confirm

Complete any required token approval, then confirm the settlement transaction in your wallet.

Settlement

The renter pays the full rental upfront, and the payment is split on-chain in a single transaction.

Activation

Once the transaction is final and processed, the rented points appear in the renter's usable balance.

Expiry

At the agreed end time, the points stop counting for the renter and return to the lender. Rentals do not auto-renew.

A token approval on its own does not pay for a rental. The rental only exists once the settlement transaction confirms.

For stakers: renting out your points

How to list your points

Go to the marketplace

Go to the Staking Points Marketplace and connect your wallet.

Select Rent out my points

Select Rent out my points.

Choose an eligible staking pool

Choose the eligible staking pool you want to lend from.

Enter the number of points

Set the rental duration and total price

Set the rental duration and a total price for the full rental period.

Select payment currencies

Select the payment currencies you accept.

Set the offer expiry

Set how long the listing stays open (offer expiry), then confirm.

The listing screen shows the current lowest market price and how your price compares to the average, so you can price competitively.

What happens to your points and stake

  • Listing does not reduce your tier. Your usable balance only changes once a rental settles.
  • During a rental, the rented points count for the renter instead of you. Check the effect on your tier and any campaigns you plan to join before listing.
  • Your stake stays put. Your $CGPT is not unstaked or transferred, and renting does not change how your stake's token rewards are calculated.
  • Your stake must stay locked through the end of the rental. Renting is not a way to unstake early.

You can only list points backed by your own locked stake. Points you have rented from someone else cannot be relisted.

For renters: renting points

Good to know

  • No stake needed. You need a compatible wallet, the payment funds, and enough of the network token to cover gas.
  • Already staking? Rented points add to your usable balance on top of your own.
  • Listings fill whole. You cannot take part of a listing. Choose one that matches the amount you need, or post a request.

Pick a rental period that covers every eligibility and snapshot date for the campaigns you plan to join. Renting points does not guarantee an allocation or reward.

Requests and bids

Can't find the size or duration you need? Post a request instead.

Open Offers & Bids

Open the Offers & Bids tab and select Request staking points.

Enter request terms

Enter the point amount, rental duration, and the price you are willing to pay.

Wait for a staker to accept

A staker with eligible points can accept your request and complete the deal.

Keep enough payment balance and token approval in your wallet while your request is open. If funds or approval are missing when a staker tries to fill it, the deal cannot settle.

Prices, payment currencies & fees

Pricing

  • The person creating a listing or request sets the price.
  • The USD price covers the full rental period, not a single day.
  • The payment token amount is calculated from a current price quote. Review the final amount before confirming.

Payment currencies

Supported currencies are USDT, USDC, and $CGPT. Each listing may accept only some of them.

Fees

Every rental payment is split at settlement:

  • 70% to the lender
  • 20% to the platform treasury
  • 10% to $CGPT buy-and-burn

$$ \text{Lender receives} = 0.70 \times \text{Rental Price} $$

Example: A staker lists 20,000 points for 30 days at $100. A renter takes the deal in USDC.

  • Lender receives $70
  • Treasury receives $20
  • Buy-and-burn allocation: $10

For those 30 days, the lender has 20,000 fewer usable points and the renter has 20,000 more.

Network gas fees are separate and paid by the wallet submitting each transaction.

Activation and expiry

  • Activation is not instant. The rental must settle, reach blockchain finality, and be processed by the platform. Wait until Pad shows your updated balance before relying on it for a deadline.
  • The rental clock is set by the start and end times in the settled deal terms. Processing time does not extend the end time.
  • At expiry, rented points stop counting for the renter, whose tier and point-based benefits may decrease.

Cancellation

  • Unfilled listings and requests can be cancelled through the marketplace.
  • Active rentals cannot be ended early by either side. Plan around the agreed end time.
  • Cancelling does not reverse a rental that has already settled.

KYC & regional access

  • KYC is not required to list or rent points on the marketplace.
  • Campaign rules still apply. If a campaign requires KYC, you must complete it to participate, even with rented points.
  • Regional restrictions continue to apply to the marketplace and to individual campaigns.

Important Notes & Risks

  • Rentals are final. Once settled, a rental runs to its end time and payments are not refunded.
  • Campaigns are separate. A rental does not include a refund if a project delays or cancels its launch.
  • Price movement. $CGPT prices can move, and stablecoins can deviate from their intended dollar value.
  • Smart contract risk. As with any on-chain product, smart contract risk exists.
  • Benefit variability. Each campaign decides which point-based benefits apply and when it measures eligibility.

FAQ

Do I need to stake $CGPT to rent points?

No. Renting lets you use points without opening your own stake. You only need a compatible wallet, the payment funds, and enough of the network token for gas.

Do I keep my staking rewards while my points are rented out?

Yes. Renting out points does not change your stake or how its token rewards are calculated, and the renter does not receive them. You do give up the rented points' contribution to tiers, allocations, boosts, and campaign rewards for the rental period. Rental payments are separate from staking rewards and are not a guaranteed yield.

Which staking pools can I lend from?

Use the eligible pools shown in the marketplace's pool selector. Your stake must stay locked through the end of the rental, so a position close to unlocking may not qualify.

Can I use rented points in any campaign?

Rented points count across supported ChainGPT Pad features that use staking points, including IDOs, Public Sales, Launchdrops, Giveaways, and Buzz. Each campaign sets its own rules and snapshot timing.

What happens if a payment is pending or the page closes?

Check your wallet activity first. If a payment was submitted, verify its transaction hash and outcome before trying again. Do not send a second payment just because the page has not updated. A failed transaction can still incur a network fee.

Where can I get help?

Contact ChainGPT support with your wallet address, order details, and transaction hash. Never share your seed phrase or private key.
